ITC Fraunhofer has presented the CREAToR project at the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2019, organised in Helsinki by Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra on June 3-5, 2019
CREAToR participated in the EASME hosted event Scaling up innovative circular solutions for plastics. This session brought together innovators, researchers, companies, public authorities and policymakers. CREAToR was featured as a new project funded under Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation that addresses an innovative solution to boost the circular economy for plastics.
CREAToR also participated in EASME’s Clustering Workshop for SC5-01 projects, that took place in VTT, on June 4, 2019
Over 2,200 participants from 98 countries discussed how to scale up the circular economy transition in a way that is socially and economically fair and inclusive.
The WCEF2019 had a strong emphasis on scaling up the circular economy transition by increasing investments into circular economy businesses, spreading and adopting new technologies and making significant regulatory changes that enable the circular economy to flourish around the world. The event also emphasised that this monumental transition needs to be made in a way that is socially and economically fair and inclusive.
